For many years...I've had this  wonderful wall  grandfather type clock...that has been "company"...it had lost it's chime but still to hear that "tick tick" was comforting. Welllll...last week while winding it..I heard something CRACK inside...and....that was that. ..sad day. I've just been lost without it... so started to look for a new one. You know...they are hard to find anymore! I finally found one at Pennys....but..only ONE actually had the pendlelum ...that made the tick tick sound..like the style or not[I do}...and found out oNLY the ones ya wind up will do that...ones with a battery...just sit there....dead as a door nail . I NEED that tick...it's like.....alive...company...somehow...and this one has the most WONDERFUL chime...on the half hour and hour....my three daughters went together and got it for me...for my birthday...[my son treated me to a nice birthday also] ...and it is now up...on my wall...and everything is right again with the world!!! Happy Day...
