Sometimes a picture will have a red X in the left hand corner.
Try this...right click on the red X and choose "show picture".
Some times it will work, sometimes it won't.  Depends on how and where you got the pic.???? I think!

okay.. I went to a free clip art place just the other day.. and I copied the picture and brought it here to post.. then when someone else had a turn..they told me that the picture was the dreaded...red X.. and I do not know why?? should I have saved it...then used and deleted it??  what am I doing wrong here??

oh yes.. I forgot to ask...  if you highlight a picture, copy and transfer-- will that cause a red x too??

Usually on animation sites you should "save to". Then you have that stored in your files. You can delete it after you no longer need it.
 
There are some places where after you copy and paste, (like yahoo mail) the red X will pop up insted of your pic. Or if you have deleted it from your MSN storage, it will cause a red X.

I found out by accident that if I see a red x on a newer thread I will click the refresh button and some times the picture will appear.
