A Trip Back In Time
The day began warm and calm as they both awoke from a night of soothing slumber. She lazily stretched and yawned, he not wanting to leave the comfort of the bed curled up once more for a few precious winks.
As she tossed her arm over his shoulder and felt his warm body, thoughts of love began to surface, so she cuddled closer. This was a tender moment, no demands or urgency...just wanting the feel of him next to her.
They had shared a life and a bed, experienced the fire of passion and the calm of love spent. This was now the Autumn of their lives and times like this were few.
In the time it took for him to open his eyes fully...his senses became acutely aware of the need she was feeling and he rolled over and held her as he had done before....tenderly, gently letting the years past vanish.
Once more they traveled on a journey that took them to heights unknown. A pleasure trip that would be remembered for some time. This was a much needed trip, and the passion was the same, the fire burned hot and consuming. The kiss on trembling lips was as if it were yesterday and they loved as they did back then.
Age had not lessened the need or dimmed the desire. This was a morning like no other, this day they took a trip back in time...but the contentment would last today and be remembered tomorrow.
