Of These Things....I Write
Rainy days and cloudy skies;
butterflies and fireflys.
Sunny days and breezy nights;
full moons and candle lights.
Frosty panes and candy canes;
holding hands in lover's lanes.
Children's laughter in the street;
smiles of friendship, when they meet.
Books of knowledge to be read;
folded hands when prayers are said.
Ocean's deep and river's slow;
with one purpose as they flow.
Blossoms go from bud to bloom;;
beauty takes away one's gloom.
Hands extended across the world;
no more angry words are hurled.
Gentle music for our ears;
most remembered through the years.
Words I've spoke and wrote in rhyme;
of things...and wishes in my time.
