enough pastry dough for 1 double crust pie
Preheat oven to 400F\

6 Tbl spoons flour
2 Cups brown sugar very well packed
2 Cups of whipping cream 35% not whipped
4 Tbl spoons butter
1/4 tea spoon salt
1 tea spoon vanilla
1/2 tea spoon almond extract
In a saucepan, combine flour and sugar, add the cream and mix real well, add butter, salt vanilla and almond extract.  Stir will and cook until it starts to boil.  Pour into an unbake pie shell, add the top shell and fllute it all around.  Make a whole in the middle of the top shell sot the steam can escape.
Place the pie plate on a cookie sheet in case it will spill
Bake at 400F 5 min.
Bake at 350F 25 min.
Eat when still warm with ice cream....decadent....
I hope wou will enjoy this little bit of our history
Lise
