Chicken Salad

4 half chicken breasts
4to 6 slices crisp,crumbled bacon
2 cups chopped celery
1 can button mushrooms
1 cup pecan pieces
1 cup mayoand 1cup sour cream, mixed with 2 tbls, fresh lemon juice for dressingsalt and pepper.
Boil or roast chiken breast halfs, cool and cut into bitesize pieces.Add next 4 ingredientsand mix together.Stir in dressing mixture, salt and pepper. I serve this with warm rools and a fruit salad. Hope you like it as much as we all do. Tastes best after being chilled for at least an hour, preferably longer.

Honey  -   Good recipe.  Most of my family makes it very close to that, sometimes throwing in a few grape halves.  All white meat, of course, and real mayo, none of that salad dressing.   One of the sayings in the Soiuth is

"Shes so tacky she puts dark meat in her chicken salad".

Red, you are so right. No dark meat p-lease and I do use real mayo. Salad dressing would ruin it   Yuk!!

I'm searching for a really, really good one.  Not that this one isn't, just wondering if anyone here has tried it?
