Well, I did a fairly good job with the Joust, making it to the finals only to lose to Charisma Simmons. She had it easy, she didn't really have to go out and promote herself a ton since she was safe no matter what happened. However, when the voting breakdown was released, a big smile came onto my face. I was in 2nd place in the voting, with 13 votes, and I was almost downright giddy. I had really gotten the attention of all the parties out there and they were seeing that it might be time for a change here in SKCW. Less of the pretty girls, more of the girls who come to kick some ass. I hadn't really endeared myself to most of my fellow competitiors but that didn't bother me. I came to do what I needed to do and the rest could just fall into place later on. I wondered what the other girls were thinking knowing that this week, was a double elimination week. I wasn't worried about it because the fact that I was in better shape, since most of my body mass was muscle, I could get through any obstacle that anyone threw my way. Then the tug of war, I hoped Cherry was still around, her and I with whichever other diva was still on our team could prove to be formitable. Things were slowly breaking down, and I plan on working my way to the top. It wouldn't be easy but I could do it, I knew that now more than ever.
Things opened up inside of the diva search training area, as I decided to come in early, train by myself. I was already in my gear and I threw down my bag that I had brought with me, opening it up. I pulled out a jump rope and starting jumping with it while talking to myself.
Melanie Thomas: "Got to....stay in shape....got to be....better than the rest....Going to be....a winner....no matter what....anyone says."
I threw down my rope, and kicked it back towards my bag. I dropped down onto one of the mats that had been placed out, and did some push-ups, keeping myself verbally motivated while doing them.
Melanie Thomas: "Going to be better....than Charisma....than Brooke....than Cherry....than Jessica....than Phoenix....than Tai....and Heidi too....Can't let anyone stop me....no one is going to keep me down....double the trouble....double the risk....double the chance to shine."
I hopped up, breathing a little heavily, since I was really trying to work myself. I started doing jumping jacks, keeping up with my mantra.
Melanie Thomas: "Obstacle course....Tug of War....Melanie's time....is coming now....Not going to be stopped....Climb higher....jump further....move quicker....do better than the rest....prove them....all wrong."
I quickly stopped the jumping jacks and switched to something that people called 'happy feet'. People would normal do this with tires and such, but I didn't have any with me.
Melanie Thomas: "Tug of War....three on three....lead to victory....leave the others....in the dust....Make sure that....they taste the mat....in defeat....Make them feel....the pain that....they've made me feel....Make them look....the fools for once."
I stopped doing that and went back over to my bag, taking out a bottle of water and a towel. I wiped my head off, then throwing the towel back into my bag. I opened up my bottle of water, taking a swig of it. Letting the coolness of the water run down my throat, quenching my thrist. I knew things had only just begun, but I would be ready for whatever came my way. I'd just have to be.
