where does everyone stand in this years election

my parents are democrats and always have been. i've never really cared about politics and I haven't even really followed this one that much even though this is the first election i'm eligible to vote in. I'll be going for Obama though, we definitely need a change of scenery. Then again as long as Bush is gone I could care less if freakin' Britney Spears became president

My family outside of my older brother who tries to be different are democrats although nobody seems to know who to vote for. Obama is worthless and so is McCain. It should have been Hilary so I don't even really want to vote? I'm with you Ryan though as long as Bush is gone.

I'd like to see a leader who doesn't just promise to take care of the American people, but does what a leader is actually supposed to do: inspire people to greatness and to do great things. The nature of participatory democracy is just that: we're supposed to *participate* and be actively involved with the process. So even if I did disagree with Sen. Obama on a number of issues (which I agree with him on 90% of issues), I almost feel like harping on those things that misses the forest for the trees. If Sen. Obama can inspire people to stand up and take accountability for their own nation, then that is much more powerful than simply taking the right position on the Iraq War, or promising universal health care -- especially since any and all promises made by any candidate on the campaign trail are completely disposable once the said candidate takes office. So in short I support Sen. Obama and Joe Biden 100%, we don't need 4 more years of Bush... VOTE OBAMA '08!

Anyone else think Obama should have chose Hilary? I mean come on, I know most people (especially guys) don't like Hilary, but I think they would have made a good team. I don't know much about Biden, but yeah, still going for Obama

I was watching the debate up until 10ish, so I don't know whats been said since then so don't judge me for anything I might have missed, butttttttt

I wasn't really feeling either of them. And I wanted to give "Gwen" a smack. But I felt both of them were kind of...blah. Although I just have to say, I want everyone out of Iraq as soon as possible. I don't think we're accomplishing anything there and well most won't agree, I am sticking to that. Too many casualities and we don't seem to be making progress. So as far as I'm concerned Obama/Biden '08 (as of right now)

You know Ryan I am going exactly with that percentage knowing how biased most people are today, I think Obama, hate to say it would be assassinated within gaining office, but you know bringing up assassination, is it just me or has anyone else ever wondered why if people would assassinate these past good presidents we had, why in the hell no one ever even attempted on Bush, when he has been like one of the worst?

Just a thought i've had ever since Bush third year in his first term.

Lol I know, people HATE Bush. It's so hard to find someone that likes Bush, even any republicans. Well my uncle likes him, but he's a douchebag so we won't count that. But I really wonder why nobody has attempted to take out Bush. Nobody, not even Laura, would even really be that upset. I think we would probably have a Day of Celebration. Maybe he'll be assassinated once he's out of office? I wouldn't be phased

Well yours truely is a paid staffer for John McCain and i can sit here and say i only trust one candidate for President who doesn't associate with Domestic Terrorist or pitches money to a left liberalized company who fudges with Voter registration like Accorn. I do kno this tho... You vote Obama you will sure indeed not get anything he says but you will get high taxes because how the hell can you give a tax break to 95 americans when only 70 percent actaully pay taxes. I am sitting here as an 18 year old and Im voting for my future kids future of having a secure nation and good future. The markets weren't the faults of the Republicans, its due to Chris Dodd and barney Frank's lack of leadership in legislative matters.

*cough* Canadian perspective *cough* Honestly, I haven't really been following the election that much in detail cause well, it really isn't like I get to vote, buuut I think its funny to see the comparsions. How media filled the American election is compared to the Canadian one. Bet you didn't know Canadas having an election right now as well :p
