Just wanted to let you all know my dad died this afternoon. He had had two really good days Sat. & Sunday(today) felt better than he had in a long time... he didn't suffer, layed back in his recliner & died. And that is how we hoped he would go when he did.. no suffering, no pain, so, just wanted u all to know why I'm not around... Also, I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving if I don't get to tell you before hand.. luv & hugs... God Bless~ gina

Thanks ladies for all your prayers, etc.. We had the visitation/funeral all in one day (moms idea) I figured or most of us figured Tues night visitation & Wednesday funeral, but mom wanted to do it all Tuesday.. they could do it that way & apparently that was how it should have been done.. You all are NOT gonna believe this.. but We had Dad's funeral Tuesday @1pm, & it went really good (as far as the situation will let it be "good")but Jake & Lisa didn't get to stay for the funeral, they had to leave a little bit before the visitation was over & head to the hospital.. SO.. TODAY.. we took the girls to Marion to see their new baby brother, James Kavin, born at 9:04 pm ( on the same day my dad was buried).. he weighed 7 lbs. 7 oz., 20 1/2 inches long.. and by the time the whole funeral thing was over, including the dinner after the burial.. mom told me she didn't have a lot of grief feelings, she was excited about Lisa going to have the baby.. & she has been really really good today, been getting ready for Thanksgiving tomorrow & can't wait to actually get her hands on that little fella.. I got to do that today but my dads first name was James.. nobody called him that, he was Jim to everyone, but God sure has a way of working things out.. but we're having /have had, funeral, baby born & Thanksgiving x2 all in one week.. so just wanted to say again.. luv you all & thanks again for the prayers.. hope everyone has a WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING DAY~ we certainly have alot to be thankful for.. Gina, it's amazing how things happen. I'm so glad that this precious baby could come to your family to have something so positive and uplifting happen to focus on during this time of sorrow. I hope it will help your family thru their grief more easily. He is such an amazingly beautiful child. I know your Dad would be so proud to have him as a namesake. What a wonderful legacy! We are all sending out big warm hugs to you!

Thanks kandi~ he is such a cutie.... looks so little up against the girls especially or they look so big up against baby brother.. kadence told lisa she was a big sister.. lol.. me & mom stopped by & dropped jakes check off since he's been off all week, dh had to work last nite & got his check for him, but I was in the kitchen looking at the baby, jake had him in there in the bassinet with him.. girls tend to get a little wild.. anyhoo, jake said I could pick him up that it wouldn't disturb him, so of course I couldn't leave without picking him up.. kadence came over to the gate & said my baby.. she had to kiss him on the cheek two times & then she started to take off & said need a hug, she had to hug him too.. emma on the other hand.. maybe it's jealousy, but she don't want alot to do with him.. it kinda comes & goes with her, but when she does its short & sweet.. oh well, she'll get used to him..
