Many food banks are suffering from very low supply this year.  When you are considering your giving this season, keep these very important community servicers in mind.  Grab an extra bagful of groceries and donate it!  You can contact your local food bank and find out what they are most in need of.

I have sent 2 boxes to mom for the county home up there by her. And I have a pile in the closet to go to a food bank when I can find one! There is the large DC area one, but I was looking for maybe a church or someplace that had a food pantry. Our church doesn't have one, but I may check to see if they know of any families that are in need.   There are so many items I've gotten for free or near free, I get them even if I don't need them and donate them.
