Do you have gardeners, campers, or summer activity people on your
holiday gift list? October is a great time to shop for their Christmas
gifts. Gardening supplies, camping gear, and fishing, biking, hiking,
and other summer sports equipment are marked down for the end of season
sales. I just picked up a $35.00 pair of high-end pruning shears for
$8.50, and a $50.00 camping lantern for $12.00. Gifts I know they will
love and use.

There is no rule that you have to pay full price (or any price) for
Christmas gifts.

Take care of you,
Cindy

That is so true!
This year, I made a list of everyone I need to buy for and I am going to try for one gift per week (unless I find a great sale).  That way, come December, it is not so hard on the pocketbook!  We are aiming for a debt free Christmas again this year (that will make 4 years in a row of debt free Christmas! YEA!)

Need to get our finances in order again before I do anymore Christmas shopping, but Jo-Ann's is great about seasonal sales, and Wal-mart is, too.  MIL bought 4 super nice cushy chairs for our camping trip this past weekend, and she only paid $60 total.  Regular price would have been over $120.

Got a bunch of Christmas shopping done today!  YAY!  We charged at Kohl's so we could get the Kohl's Cash back, but I will be paying that off right away, and we got $70 in Kohl's Cash, so I will be going back to get myself a coat with that...the coat I want is on sale from $140 to $75 so I will get it for 5 bucks!  Woohoo!

Pulled out all the stuff I have been collecting all year and sorted it.  I have four red and green totes, one for each child (they are labeled 1,2,3 and 4, not with names ) so I put each child's things into their tote.  I'd say we are now about 1/2 to 2/3 done for the kids!
