This is sooooooooo true: funny thing is, last year's Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas covers look very similar to this year's covers. The GW in my town also sells magazines for pennies. I have bought Vogue, O & other pricey magazines for a $1 or less. Sure the mags are a yr old, but personally I never run out and buy that $1500 purse that I just saw in Vogue. |

If your area has a Half-Price Books, that carry all kinds of magazines as well. They're even organized by category and title, so it's easy to find what you're looking for quickly. |

This is true! When I toss mags, I usually end up keeping the holiday ones because of the repeating trend they tend to have year after year...I also use the library to get ideas from them without paying. My library also has a magazine exchange, which I think is super cool...they have a box where you can put your done-with mags in and also look through the box and take out whatever mags you want...to keep or whatever you want. Love that! |

Hmmmm....a magazine exchange. Great idea. I'll have to check my library to see if they do that - and if not, I'll suggest it. |

Magazine exchange is a great idea. I have cut my magazine buying dramatically, these days I only buy if they come with free magazines. I did buy one that had a free dvd the other day. I never buy gossip magazines, they are only ever craft ones. Some of the major grocery stores have put out their own free magazines, I got a couple of those last week, they had fantastic recipes in them. I usually pass any old magazines to Mum who takes the ones she doesn't want to her church craft group. |
