Identify purpose of charm.
Gather all materials. This includes all herbs, gemstones, & necessary tools.

Gemstones should be cleared of all prior energies. You can do this in many ways, but here are the most practical for me. Gently wash stone with cool water, place outside atop another stone or on the earth for 1-3 days. The stone absorbs moonlight and sunlight, and is naturally refreshed. This is my preferred method. Rinse stone with cool water. Dry well. Place in a bowl of salt, completely cover the stone. Let rest for 24 hours, Uncover and rinse well.
Bury stone in the earth. Let sit for 1-7 days. (Don't forget where you buried the stone/s!) The longer the stone remains in the earth, the more earth energy it absorbs. Place stone in small bag, tie off. Place bag in a body of water, such as a Lake or Stream, for 24 hours. Gemstones do not need any further treatment. Once they are cleared they should be placed in a dark place (such as a box to contain energies) until ready for use.

I will not be using my personal chants for the following charms. I feel it is important that each individual write or speak their own heart, it lends more personal power to the spell.

Crystal Healing Spell
 
For a dose of healing, take a clear quartz crystal and wash it under running water to rid it of any accrued negativity. Place the crystal in sunlight for one whole Sunday to charge it with energy. Hold it against your forehead, and visualize its healing powers acting on auntie’s rheumatism, or mother’s backache, or your friend’s migraines. Keep in mind that the crystal may only be used for one purpose at a time. When you have the purpose fixed firmly in your mind, project it into the crystal. You may then either give the crystal to the person concerned or place it on your altar. The crystal will continue to work for its programmed purpose until you wash and reprogram it.

Healing Spell for Arthritis
 
Annoint a green candle with three drops each of spearmint, sandalwood and eucalyptus oil while repeating the following:
 
Tendon, ligament, joint and bone,
Make my body, again, my own.
Allow me to live free from pain,
To dance and run and play again.
 
Once the candle is prepared, light it, and visualize your pain leaving your body. Place the candle in a fire-safe place (bathtub or such), and allow it to completely burn. Listen to your body, and repeat as needed.

Chinese New Year Dragon Spell

To dispel all negative vibrations and bad luck, place a small jade dragon upon your altar and anoint it with a few drops of cypress or lotus oil. Light some dragon’s blood incense and place it in a fireproof burner to the right of the dragon. To the left of the dragon, light a new black candle that has also been anointed. Take the dragon in your hands, pass it clockwise through the smoke of the incense nine times. Nine is a magical number that symbolizes completeness and the highest attainment of achievements on both a spiritual and mental level. After you have done this, return the dragon to the altar and recite the following incantation:
"Let this dragon spell be made this hour to keep me sage from harm. Negative vibrations fade by power of the dragon’s charm. So mote it be!"

A Love Spell Bottle
 
Items Needed:
     Rose water (available in gourmet food stores, some markets, herb and health food stores, or by mail)
     1 handful dried Rose petal
     2 pinches dried Lavender
Hold the rose petals between your palms. Empower them with love. Place in the bottle.
Hold the lavender between your palms. Empower them with love. Place in the bottle.
Fill the bottle with the rose water. Cap or cork. Hold the bottle between palms and press it against your chest, saying these or similar words:
Flowers drenched with love,
Drench me with love.
Keep the love spell bottle in your bedroom. It is done.

Ritual For Realeasing Animals

Take 3 deep breaths as you make the sign of the Pentagram with your right hand (Starting at the top, down to the right, up left, across, down left, and
up to the starting point). The hand should be making the sign of the Horns; that is, with the index and the small finger raised and the rest of the hand
in a clenched position. As you breathe in, feel and image as clearly as you can, that you are breathing in not merely through your lungs, but in through every pore of your body, breathing in the white, pure light which pervades the entire universe. Then breathe out carefully three breaths, pointing with the thumb and forefinger of your right hand in the direction of the small body, saying, either aloud or in your mind quite clearly in these or similar words:
 Small friend, in the Name of the Gracious Lady,
 I bid you to forget your broken shell,
 It can serve you no longer.
 I bid you in the Name of the Patroness of things wild and free,
 To go beyond....
 To rest, to enjoy the Summerland.
As you do so, picture again with the mind a glowing door off somewhat to the West of the body. A glowing portal which is open and through which can be
seen a forest, or meadows, or whatever may be most enjoyable to the small creature. Close with 'Blessed Be, small friend and farewell.
