Tree Of Life by Francois Steyn In my garden, there is a tree and though without it the landscape will be dull, its root and branches I yearn to annul Cause the ancient trunk of this grand evergreen, prevents the sun's glow from ever so gently melting my heart's snow And though to my parents it was their best loved, and for hours they sit in its shade, Maybe if it was gone, I'd learn to forget The sight of my father as one of its blades.
