A few comments, if I may, hmmm, even if I may not *giggles*: Your dialogue with Rita is totally stunning, holding the breath of the reader and yet relaxed and how shall I say, ahh, but words elude me at the moment so we shall leave this for now.
Your other wanderings with the word, interesting, sensual but not in a sexual way, your romance with the written word quite evident and yet elusive to one not looking to find it.
Your POW flag and writting, all too reminiscent for me of the Viet Nam days for I lost all too many friends in that horrid jungle conflict. And yet, the bright pink a color of hope in some ways and a color of the blood having been washed of the bright red by the monsoons in another way. Powerful!
Write on oh young man with a will to communicate his emotion, his sensuality, his anger, pain, and sense of loss and yet wonder...such emotion needs to be shared.
