On Sunday September 14th about 8 am in the morning my house was rocked to the core by a massive blast from a ruptured gas line about 6 miles away. The sound that issued forth shortly after the blast was frightening to say the least. Imagine several harrier jets just sitting over top of your home with their engines at full throttle. Folks I thought we had done bit the big one. Praise be to God no one in the immediate area of the blast was killed, and only a few were mildly injured. The Good Lord was most certainly walking through Appomattox on Sunday and he spread his protection over a great many folks. The folks from the gas company which is based out of Texas has been here since Sunday going over the blast area with a fine tooth comb, and holding meetings with the citizens of Appomattox, and as of yet, still do not what caused the blast. I tried to post some pictures on here for y'all to look at, and for some reason I can't get the darn things to post. As soon as I do I will get them posted on here and y'all can take a look for yourselves. Hey I wonder if ol Vampygal might have an idea as to what might have happened?????? |

Cat, I am sorry to hear this bad news. I am glad, that you and your family, were not hurt. Was your house damaged? Do you have some links to articles, that we can read. Do you have an online photo account, like Webshots? If you do, you can post a link, to the album. MSN has problems and glitches, that they will not fix. Sooner or later, pictures that are posted in a post, disappear and we see the dreaded red x. Teresa |
