That's great poetry, Linda Lee. Robert E. Lee was saddened by how poor and uneducated were some of the Confederate soldiers in his army. Perhaps that is one of the reasons why he took the Presidency of Washington and Lee University, to provide an education for the young men of the South. Many Southerners sent their children to the University because of the reputation of Robert E. Lee. Rob |
