Twas the nite before Tuesday
when all thru the land,
the country was listening
to black jive and demand.

The flags of the world
were all at half staff,
waiting and watching
for the fatted, gold calf.

Outside the crowds gathered
at frightening speed,
for the jails were emptied
and all had been freed.

I had just gotten cozy
for a little TV,
not expectin' a bit
of what I would see.

When what to my wonderin'
eyes should appear...
"Messiah! Messiah!",
came louder the cheer.

Up past the steps
and between several flags,
were liberal hawkers
and all of their hags.

They shook hands of defiance
at the rich and the bank...
Pulosi and Reed,
and ole Barney Frank.

And finally from shadows
where he was a'hidin',
came strolling and waving,
ole Senator Biden.

His mouth had been sealed
and he said not a word...
Thru the wailing and worship,
he couldn't be heard.

Then Messiah stepped forth
and raised both his hands;
a hush then proceeded,
and covered the lands.

I, ah, ah, ah promise you that
I'll fulfill every wish;
They'll be chicken and pork chops
to fill every dish.

And we'll take from the white man
all that he made;
From henceforth, forever
your bills will be paid.

Then the crowd pushed up closer,
to get better view,
it was like watching the feeding time
at every zoo.

"Hail the messiah,"
came louder the cheer,
From liberal, infidel,
even the queer.

He stood with raised hands,
ever so proud,
then slowly and prayerfully
hushed the whole crowd.

"I ah, ah, ah promise you this,
we'll never go back;
what belonged to the white
will be owned by the black."

I shuttered and shook,
and rubbed at my eyes;
the fires of hell had
overtaken the skies.

The crowd stepped up closer,
so tight they were squeezed;
When the fires of hell said,
"My son, I am pleased."

And the people fell down
and worshipped his feet;
and the fall of this country
was now made complete.
