In the Bible is a story of a UFO encounter.  Ezekiel Chapter 1 relates this.  This tells of four "living creatures" that had the "likeness of man" about them coming from a "cloud and fire" from the North.  Could this possibly be a UFO coming in and heating up while coming through the atmosphere?  Could these creatures possibly be aliens visiting?  The story relates tham as having "wings" so I'm guessing that was added in to make them appear to be Angels of the Lord, but...if this event did actually happen...could they have been visitors from another part of the universe?

There is an old spiritual.  I don't know the title of it but one line says:  "Ezekiel saw the wheel...way up in the middle of the air"  Now...could this have possibly been the sighting of a UFO?  Most UFO's are wheel shaped, disk like objects so they could be realted to as a "wheel".

UFO's have been spoken about and recoreded on paintings for a very long time and I'm just wondering if this story from the Bible tells about an alien encounter.  Is it possible that during that time...we were being checked up on by visitors?

I'm not saying this story is a fairytale, nor am I discrediting the writer of it.  I'm just wondering if the Bible relates an alien encounter?

I'm not sure if this story relates an alien encounter either, but one thing is for certain: Ezekiel saw SOMETHING and it was definitely otherworldly.

Good post, Pony!

Well....I can understand how "creatures from the sky" could be misconstrued as Angels...simply because back in those days alien visitations were unheard of.  People didn't understand, or know that they were not alone in the universe.  I'm presuming that back in those days...Heaven was basically "in the sky" and God and his Angels resided in Heaven, so anyone coming from the sky would be considered an Angel, or messenger from God. Very simple logic on that.  This is not to say that the people of those days were dumb.  This just means that they had no understanding of alien visitations and would naturally presume that creatures from the sky were Heaven sent.

There are many tales among the Native Americans about "Sky Warriors" and visitations by them.  The Navajo People have several of those stories.  They tell of Sky Warriors coming on "Flaming Horses", or "Horses of Fire" and coming from the sky.  Here again...could these Flaiming Horses, or Horses of Fire be UFO's coming in through the atmosphere?  As we all know...our known spacecraft, when reentering, get rather toasty on the outside when they hit the atmosphere and I would presume it would be the same for a UFO.

I am thinking that the Biblical story could possibly be based on an actual event of alien visitations.
