Believe it or not, it don’t matter, because I know what I saw. Last weekend (June 11, 12, &13) my reenactment unit, the 22nd Louisiana Infantry, CO. A did a living history at Oakley Plantation outside of St. Francisville, LA. The wife & I got there about 5 p.m. Friday night & setup camp. Around 11 p.m. I went to the head, and had to pass behind the big house. After using the bathroom I started to look around the house, and went up the side steps that the slaves used to enter the morning sick room. I was holding up my lantern looking in to house when I caught movement to the left. When I looked I saw a shadow of a man in the “gentlemen’s room.?/FONT>

After that I went back to camp, and asked the guard if anyone was in the house, and he said no that house is locked up, and the alarms were set. He told me that I was not the first to see the “shadow man?as they call him.

The next night I was sitting on the back steps. The house was to my back & left. I was petting the large yellow cat that hangs out there. The cat walks away to my right, and sits on a stoop and was looking up at the house. When I looked up at the house a young girl was on the balcony looking down at the cat. I looked at the cat again, and when I looked up she was gone. The next day I took a tour of the house, and saw a painting of a girl on the second floor that looks like the girl I saw.

By the way I was not the only reenactor to see the “shadow man?& girl that weekend. 2 others saw them as well.

1stSgt., I saw the soul of a lady that I worked with. She died on May 10, 1992 (Sunday and Mother's Day that year). She had a massivee heart attack that day. On Tuesday, May 12th, I went to the funeraal home to pay my respects to her and her family. I have worked the midnight shift for years. On Wednesday, May 13th around 3 AM, I saw her soul. Her body was wearing a light blue gown. Her soul was wearing a white blouse, black pants, and tennis shoes. That was the way she dressed. The soul is not flesh and blood, but it is made of a different material. That is the only way, that I can explain it. She was happy. I believe that she crossed over years ago. I believe that she went to Heaven. She was Catholic and close to God.  Pony has started "The Paranormal Compass" MSN Group. 1st SGT:  What you had there was an excellent paranormal experience.  You saw spirits of  long gone people.  The "Shadow Man" is what they call "Shadow People".  No one in the paranormal circle has an explanation for this other that the possibility of  a spirit manifesting itself in that manner.  It is said that spirits can manifest themselves in any number of ways.  Human form, animal form...whatever?

Consider yourself lucky.  Many people go throught their whole lives and never have a paranormal experience, or if they do, they pass it off as "seeing things"...a mind trick.
