Ghost snapped at Welsh castle

May 26 2004

Things have been going bump in the night more than usual at Craig Y Nos Castle in the Brecon Beacons recently.

The castle is well known as the scene of many ghostly tales but these were largely taken with a pinch of salt until a professional research body carried out some research there.

During its investigations The Ghost Research Foundation International (www.grfi.org) an international organisation of ghost researchers, obtained solid evidence that the castle is indeed haunted.

On a tour of the rooms and corridors psychic Norie Miles 'sensed' a spirit on a staircase. No-one saw anything but when photographers of the stairs were downloaded onto a laptop - they realsied they'd caught a ghost.

The photograph appears to be that of a shadowy figure standing on the staircase.  Paul Howse, president of the organisation said: "This in itself could be explained as simply shadows. It was totally dark at the time and we were using infrared night vision photography to capture images in zero light conditions. This combined with the fact that the 'figure' was in the precise position that Norie had described makes this an amazing result."

"Do you think neutrinos play a role in all of this?"

I'm not sure on that, but I am thinking this may be a fake picture.  The shadow image is a little too well defined...not fuzzy enough.  If you look at the pictures I put in here of the Willard Library that shows its ghost you'll know what I mean on this.  I am thinking this is a very well done fake.

Ponysoldier, I have to disagree with you. When I saw that "shadow man" at Oakley Plantation a few weeks back he was as clean as that photo. Nothing fuzzy about him, or luminescent. I think this image is real.

I'm not saying the picture is a fake, but it appears to be.  It is quite possible that it is a for real picture?

1ST SGT:  In most of the ghost pictures that I have seen that are real ghosts, the image is somewhat fuzzy and transparent.  In some of the proven fake ones I have seen the image is clear and detailed, but still somewhat transparent.  That shadow image on the wall in the Welch castle is a little too defined and not fuzzy enough...that's why I am thinking it's a fake.  I've never seen shadow images like that, so I'm kinda new to them.  This may be a real picture.

Pony, I know what you are saying. I'm just speaking from my own sitings of so-called "shadow people", and every one that I have seen looks like some ones shadow on the wall, as if some one were walking in front of a light, just like that photo, so I think it is real. THe other thing that makes me think it is real is that they used night vision equipment to take that pic. Which is why I think it shows up so good. ANyway, that just what I think about it. Have a good one, and don't let the ghost bug byte...
