"I do not have an open mind toward such suspect things as paganism."

GOBF, it is ok to not have an open mind toward things you don't fully understand.  I don't have an open mind about some things, too.  Even though I try, there are just some things I am not willing to open my mind to.  So please know that you are not being condemned here nor is anyone trying to change your mind about anything, most especially your religion.

Please also consider that the first Christians would have appreciated a little open-mindedness.  Those who so bravely went to their deaths in the jaws of lions for a new unacceptable religion might not have had to suffer so much.
