Has anyone read the above books. If so I would like to hear what you thought of them. I have just got 'Killer Angels' and was wondering what the other two were like.
Also has anyone read a book called 'God of War' subtitle 'When I Rode with Forrest' its by Robert Chambers, is it worth buying?.  Thanks  Rab.

Anything by Shaara or his father is great.

Rab, I have not read the books that you mentioned. I would like to recommend two books. 1.) "Lee: The Abridgment" by Douglas Southall Freeman. This is three volumes in one book. Collier Books, Macmillian Publishing Company. Copyright 1993.  2.) "That Devil Forrest: Life Of General Nathan Bedford Forrest" by John Allan Wyeth. Louisiana State University Press. 1989.  You should be able to get these books at either Books A Million or Amazon.com. Teresa

Jeff Shaara is in Gettysburg every July 4th weekend. He will take the time to talk to you. I talk with him alot when I see him there. I think it's pretty neet that we know each other.
He was taught well by his father. He is getting ready to write a book about the Korean War. He told me he was going to go to Korea and do some research about the place but with all the things going on he has had second thoughts about the trip.
If you ever have any questions about wars go see this man. He is a walking history book.
