Amazing Women of the Civil War by Webb Garrison.

I just finished this book. When I got to the chapter on Robert E' Lee's wife I
know for a fact most of what he wrote was false. Many thing's were bad speculation
that he had no way of knowing. One example of his bad information (not Southern or northern biased) is at Lee's wedding he stated that the groomesmen game from nearby  Ft. Monroe. Well Arlington House, where the wedding was , today is
200 miles away from Ft. Monroe.
He goes on to say that Mary Custus Lee was an ugly, tempered, woman, and that
Lee cheated on her throughout their marriage. And that Robert E Lee married her
for her money. Then states that after the war Lee lived in poverty in Lexington.
Then states that upon their death they were buried in a vault with just a plain
slab with their name on it.
These things could be no further from the truth.
I wonder how far off the rest of his book is?
