Judy, Lina and I are taking Dad to Ellisville today. That is where we are all from. We are going to drive him around to the places we lived and where he was a boy. We are going to the cemetary where his family is buried...that part makes me sad..
Then we are taking him to the Hotel Alice for lunch. The Hotel Alice was around ,but it wasn't called that then, when his dad was a young man. We are going to try and get back by one because he will want his nap.
That should be a really nice day for all of you and nice for you Dad to get out. It should bring back a lot of memories for you. I bet you will get to hear a lot of stories too about when he grew up. I hope you have a great time!
Yes it is a small town. Jones Junior College it there..A lot of history..The book and movie Tap Roots' setting was there..The Free State of Jones..in in the history books or it once was..
