Sep. 10  What Tomorrow May Bring

A year ago today....
Tomorrow was going to be just another day.....

A year ago today....
We took tomorrow for granted.....

A year ago today....
Was the last 'day' for so many.....

And the last chance for so many left behind....
to say I love you,
to forgive,
to hug,

the person they loved...

a husband,
a father,
a son,
a brother,
a wife,
a mother,
a daughter,
a sister,

a friend.

Our 24 hours of 'today' are almost over....
A year ago today we learned....
to do today... what we may be denied the chance to do tomorrow.

No matter how mad you may be.... today,
No matter how unhappy you may be....today,
If your special someone
is not granted the chance to live the 'tomorrow' yet to come....

Wouldn't you like to know that today,
you took the time,
to say,  'I love you'
to say,  'I forgive you'
and to give that hug?

Dear God,
Thank you for today.
It's really all we have.
If tomorrow should be granted,
it's a gift of time,
and one I hope to spend wisely.
Help me not to waste it,
or to use it for evil instead of good.
Thank you Lord
for today,
and the chance to do today,
what I didn't do yesterday.
If it should prove to be my last,
please make sure I do the most important things
before I leave....

Love,
Forgive,
Hug.

Amen
