It's Autumn.... the trees will be losing their leaves soon, to enjoy a time of rest through the coming winter.  

Have you ever had the experience of looking up one day at a tree empty of its leaves and wondering how you missed seeing them falling softly to the ground?   You suddenly see a tree full of bare, empty branches... and for a frightening moment you feel a little sad that you totally missed the glory of raining leaves.  You missed out on experiencing the change.  You lost the blessing of enlightenment that comes with being in the now moments of life.

Other times in life.... the changes in the things around us come so gradually we almost miss the enlightenment of awareness and understanding because the slowness of the changing process had us impatiently looking elsewhere for something to see and do.  And again.. one day, we look up and see the changes have been completed... and again, we missed it.   And we stand wondering... when and how did that happen?

We've got to remind ourselves to daily take a moment to look at the issues in our life... in their now moment.. in their ever-changing now moments.  Or we miss the beauty of the process of it happening.   Much like the scene sequences in a strip of movie film.   One intricate change from one strip to another... that when all added up... creates a wonder of change and movement from beginning to end.   Imagine how dull to only witness the first cuts and the last cuts of the film strip ... and not see all the step-by-step changes in between the beginning and ending of that strip of video film.  Yet, isn't that just what we do with our lives.... we blindly skip over or through all the middle scenes... and at the end of the day we have no real idea what transpired between morning and night.   The day is a blur.   Just as if someone edited the film of our life and cut out all the middle scenes that transpired in that day.

It's Autumn.... the trees will be dropping their leaves soon.   Sometimes slowly, one at a time.   Other days, that are full of breezes some of the trees will literally rain down a dancing parade of leaves happily floating through the air in a dance unduplicatable.   Don't miss it this year.  Don't be too busy to take a moment to glance at the trees at least once every day this Autumn.   They have a glorious show waiting to be put on for you.  

Don't miss the changes taking place.  In the trees... or in your life.  Are you paying attention to the leaves falling in your world?   In your spouse, in your children, in your home?   Each human life has a time of seasonal change also.   We experience a time of Autumn... where things that were are now coming to an end,... the aged losing their youth, the youth losing their childhood.  Are you seeing it?   Are you aware?   Are you feeling the breezes of change blowing through your life... and witnessing the beauty of time passing in a dance that is just for you... that is unduplicatable?  

Take a moment... watch, look, listen.... feel.  Don't miss it.  Today will not pass this way again.
