Hello!

What are you eating there at home that is sweet and / or delicious?... even if it's made with artificial sweeteners, doesn't matter.

Any day that you are eating something good... no matter who made it or it's store bought...

.... like cake, pie, ice cream, candy, cookies, pudding, donuts, brownies, pastries...  all that good stuff...  come by here and post about it and let us know what delights you got to enjoy that day!

Nothing makes a person feel better than some sweet 'comfort' food.

Let's comfort each other!

All the sweets are gone now. Baked some danish with my coffee. My son bought some cookies, oatmeal and peanut. I like the peanut ones. Never made that jello yet.

We've got donuts....  dig in...

They had a dozen on end-of-day sale for 1.50.

I finally got smart....

The last 2 times I bought donuts like that, all icing had
dripped off since they box them up on their sides...

I took the donuts out of the box, and laid them down
normal, and layered between wax paper and then
put the box in the fridge.  No more lost icing...

... do you have any idea how bad glazed donuts
taste without the sugar glaze icing... yuck...

My son has bought a dozen donuts too. The are delicious the first day, the second was still ok, but then they were awful. They are all gone, bought a breakfast cake now.
Baked those pumpkin pies yesterday, but i am not that crazy about those. I also have banana bread. Baked it myself.
Thats my sweets.

Hi Sylvia....  do you put your donuts in the fridge?   The
good flavor lasts longer that way.... I just heat one up in
the microwave for about 10 to 15 seconds...depending on if
I want it still be cool, or all the way warm.   And it still tastes
fresh on the 3rd day.   Still have 2 in the fridge now....

However... I also have 2  pumpkin pies in there... .  And
so that's what I'll be eating for my sweets.

Do you buy frozen pumkin pies, or make them by scratch.

The only ones I like are by scratch... Libby Pumpkin Pie
recipe... it's the only one I ever use.  Love it.   Some pumpkin
pies really taste horrible, or like cardboard.   There is a big
difference... once  you find one that tastes good.

Love banana nut bread.  I make that at Christmas time... which,  will be soon now...

I'm going to have to start walking.... so I can bake, and eat!..lol

No Grace, didnt put them in the fridge, they usually dont last that long anyway with the grands coming and eating them too. Everybody loves donuts. But my son said, he had a filled one, but only one teaspoon of filling in there. They skimp.
I made the pies from scratch, but not from a pumpkins insides, a can.
My daughter in law made a cake: better than sex called. Its layerd with a nut crust, pudding and whipped cream with chocolate on top. Its to die for. Got to get that recipe.

I have sampled much to many cookies while baking them for christmas. I have anough now to put into bags for christmas gifts. Not as many as in recent years. I am slowing down. But had to have some - christmas is not a holiday without homebaked cookies, and none of my children bakes, they just buy them.

Hi Sylvia....  I'm on a break at work... and am eating Hershey's Dark Chocolate
Kisses....   So with a chocolate "fix", I'll be feeling better pretty quick now...lol.

I'm alone at work, finally.  It's been pretty steady...but, we are open another hour
yet.  My 'lunch break' is about over.

I'll be making my bananut bread in the morning....  would do it tonight but
the aroma would not allow my son to get any sleep.......and he has to be at
work at 4.  Aren't I a considerate mom....lol.   It would sure torture me if I had
to try to sleep with that smell attacking my sweet tooth.

I'll get at least one or two batches or cookies baked by the end of Christmas
Day... and I consider the week till New Years still the "holidays", so I will do
more baking then.   I'm determined to use my cookie cutters this year.  I've
missed making my favorite "cut out" recipes.

Cookies were all put into bags and given out on christmas eve. They are all gone, except mine, and i nibble on them. We had lots of sweets during the christmas days. Pies, jello with fruit, banana bread,  caramel nuts, Popcorn wiht peanuts and caramel. pudding puffs, chocolate pretzels and chips with dip.
I probably put on weight with all the foods.
Did i make you hungry now.

Bought a red velvet cake roll, just couldnt resist. It was half off, and originally it was 7 dollars. It has a cream cheese filling. Its ok, but not as good as i thought it would be.
Thinking about fixing some more stollen for breakfasts. Just thinking about it.

I did make that stollen, 3 loaves, but they didnt come out the way they used to be. I baked them a bit longer this morning. I think i put too much fruits and nuts in it and they are heavy. Last nite they tasted like they needed more baking, but it was 10 o clock, so i waited til this morning. Hope they are better or the birds and squirrels will have a good time eating that.
Squirrels walk along my fence, so my son put a can of peanutbutter there, and 5 minutes later a squirrel was eating out of it.
