Good afternoon friends, I have an update on anne & Syd  This is a very difficult post to write to you all,
I spoke to Syd yesterday also I spoke to Anne's daughter in law as well, firstly as you probably all now by now that the prognosis for Anne isnt very good at this point. Anne has finished Chemo and a MRI scan has shown that she also has got growths on her Lungs, Syd also has been hospitalised with a re occurance of cancer this time he has got 2 gowths on his lungs and also on his liver, at this stage he has i he ucky about 2 months to live, neither he or Anne know as syd didnt want to know and Anne hasnt been told as she is too ill, syd is starting radiation today at the same hospital Anne is in so he is quite excited a being able to spend time with her,
If Anne goes into remission she will maybe have 2 years but at this time she is quite ill, her bloods are not coming up and she is sleeping most of the time and not eating at all, she is too ill to be showererd so is being washed by the staff,
Judy as asked me to thank those of you who have sent her cards they are much appreciated, if you would like to send her one Babs has the address !!
Syd will be moving out the unit he and Anne shared next weekend to move in with Anne's son John and his wife Judy, he will stay there until the end of his journey ( as judy puts it) very nicely put I think,
Judy has said she will let me know when and if anything happens, I am going to phone her at the weekends to get an update on them both,
I am sure you will join me in wishing them the best for their not so rosy future, it breaks my heart to think of them both being so ill they are such a loving easy couple to love, and i have enjoyed evry minute of our friendship over the past 4 years,
Hugss To you all
Toosh

....  Such heart-breaking news Toosh.   I can well imagine how painful it was
for you to write  it out.    I am so, so sad to hear that Syd too has had his come back
again.   I had thought he was doing so well.... and was hoping completely over it.
The loss of Syd will make it difficult for Anne to fight her battle...

Thank you for letting us know.     We will keep the prayers going, for all of you.

That sure  is devastating news on both of them. But i had expected that. We still can hope, since they both are still alive. Sylvia
