Before.... decorated for spring/summer... so you can see what I changed.

The curtain covers a storage area up at the ceiling that I created with a shelf, that I took down for Christmas.

Thanks Sylvia....I'm glad you like it.

It will be nice to one day have a digital... but I really prefer the film.

Maybe one day I'll have my own dark room.  I'd like to take a class on it and see if developing film would interest me.   Won't know till I try it.

I shop for sales at Walgreens... that's where I get my photos done.   Sometimes it's only $6 for double prints...but I almost always buy a cd for $3 also.

I did take a class in college on photography. They gave us a list of things we had to photograph, I did it and then we developed the film. To my horror there was nothing on it, just a blank roll. I was so embarassed that i quit the class. I guess my camera was broken. I should get a disk also, i never have, do i need extra equipment to put it on my computer? I have no idea.

... oh dear... Grace is late again.

I saw this post right after you wrote it Sylvia... and was going to "come back" and answer it later.   I sure did not intend to be this late in coming back here.... please forgive me.

If you can play music cd's on your computer... or have a place to put a cd that downloads programs onto your computer, that is all you need.  That little slot that opens up on which to put a cd.  No different than a cd slot on a radio/stereo.

You get a cd from the store, and your photos will be on there.. you put in the cd just like if you were playing a music cd.  And the "program" from the photo company will come on the screen and you will see all your pictures.  Then there is different things to click on.... for whatever it is you want to do with the pictures... like email them to a friend or relative... one pic, or all of them.   And you can click on a choice to download your pics onto your computer.. for them to go into your My Picutes files.

Then, you take the disc out.. and the pics are still on there, and they are also in your computer.   Have to warn you though.. sometimes the programs can be frustrating until you get it figured out...lol.  It's super easy after the first few times though.

I've gone to pick up photos at a store... and they told me there was no pictures.   One of the things that can happen is that the film does not catch correctly, and does not advance.  I thought I was taking pictures... but wasn't.   Since then I've always tried to be real careful when I put it in.

I am just like you... I would have quit the class too.   It's a horrible feeling isnt it to feel driven to do something like that.   I totally understand the need to do so.

I "ran away" from a job at Sear's one time many years ago.   I was not in my most 'confident' state of mind at that time ... life was kind of stessful then...and I had only worked there maybe 2 of 3 days... and I was supposed to be closely trained on the register, always with someone for a while ... and the other 2 ladies on the floor were talking about going to lunch and leaving me there to watch the register by myself!!   I just panicked.. asked to go to the bathroom... went and got my purse... and kept going out the back door and went home!   Some days, life is just more than we can handle.  Today,  I'd just tell them firm, 'you ain't leaving me by myself'.. lol.  Didn't have enough self gumption back then to even think of it...lol

Oh dear... its 8pm.. been on here too long already!!  Could have had the dishes all washed by now.  Gotta run.  Let me know if you need more answers about cd's.   I'll be glad to help you through it when you get one.   Byeeeeee
