Morning Prayer

Father God, Thou knowest well
the prayer within my heart,
Thank You for the chance to see
another morning start.

Touch me, Lord, with Thy sweet grace
as here I humbly pray,
Keep my loved ones in Thy sight
today and every day.

Guide my mind, my hand, my heart
in everything I do,
Grant me strength to live each day
as You would have me to.

Ask of me what Thou wouldest ask,
I'll try for all I'm worth
To do the things that You expect
with my time here on earth.

And when this day is over,
Lord bless me, that I may
live within Thy tender care
Tomorrow as today.
