1 1/2 cups water..
2 jars (15 1/2 ox each) spaghetti sauce
1 box (16oz) lasagne noodles
1 15 oz container ricotta cheese
8 oz. mozzarella cheese sliced or shredded
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Combine water and spaghetti sauce in bowl. Cover bottom of a 13 x 9x 2 baking dish with 1 1/2 cups of sauce.
Arrange layer of uncooked noodles, slightly overlapping on top of sauce. Spread half the ricotta and half the mozzarella over noodles. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of parmesan...Add another layer of sauce. Repeat with another layer of noodles, the remaining ricotta, and mozzarella.and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan. Top with layer of noodles. Pour remaining sauce over...spreading evenly to cover noodles...Sprinkle with 1/4 cup parmesan...Cover tightly with heavy duty foil. Set on baking pan...
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour or until a knife goes easily through pasta....let stand covered on rack for 10 minutes.....
You could add cooked ground beef to the sauce mixture before starting.....and also, I usually add some seasoning to the ricotta, and you could add an egg if you like..... |
