Herb, I cheated and looked it up as it is ancient history to me...but I do remember the tracks poking thru the pavement. The last trolley ride in the Bronx was August 21, 1948 Go check out the site for some pictures. |

WRONG!!!! The last trolley car .. was on Sepetember 16, 1955 .. on White Plains Road and 233 St. The trolley car was green with red trim... |

That was a Westchester Trolley from 241

1. Westchester trolleys weren't really Bronx trolleys. They were trolleys who strayed a little too far south.
2. This can be, and often is, The Bronx Zoo. In due time, you'll see what I mean. I hasten to add that I remember The Bronx Zoo as a fun place to visit. |
