Jerome Park Race Track (1876 - 90) was named for one of its founders Leonard W. Jerome.
 
Jerome Park Reservoir was built in 1906 as part of the Croton system supplying the city with mountain water, and it covers 94 acres with a capacity of 773,000,000 gallons

Fred, Thanks for that Info. That racetrack was around for a long time!!
My building faced that resrevoir, and it was sure tempting to jump in on hot days.
