I believe it was a statue to honor WWI vets and was located on Ogden Avenue.

Ed, It hink it was on University Ave near the Washington Bridge, at the end of Ogden Avenue

181st and Ogden.

Ed, there is not Ogden at 181st St.  The Dougboy was  where University,   Ogden, Edward L Grant and 172nd Street more or less come together.

 

It was vandalized and knocked over many years ago and was stored in a warehouse awaiting funding.  I do not know if it was ever replaced on its pedestal.
