Last Friday, a bank here in Chicago was robbed in typical fashion--the robber handed the teller a note.

That note was written on the back of a piece of a torn payroll stub.

The stub was traced, the rest of it was retrieved...and lo and behold, there was the perp's name and address right there on the stub.

Reminds me of the time when some jerk held up a liquor store. After getting the money he told the clerk to give him a bottle of liquor. The clerk told him that he needed to be proofed...yep, the idiot handed over his diver's license. Sometimes you just wonder how some people can get dressed in the morning.

More stupid criminal tricks.....

From the NY Post.....

The wheels fell off the master plan for a trio of car thieves yesterday when one of the lug heads accidentally dialed 911, police said.

"I got some guys on the phone . . . It's a cellphone but it sounds like they are ripping off a car," Middletown, NY, dispatcher Milo Moore told cops, according to WCBS Radio. "Dialed in their pocket by mistake. They are taking the tires off a car."

Although they hung up soon after, the fumble-fingered thieves were tracked to an autobody shop using GPS technology.

Was it a video phone?  He could have recorded the entire event!

I once had a guy take off in his car as I was writing him a ticket..problem was I had his licenese and registration in my hand..I figured it had to be bogus..but it wasn't..we drove to his house and there was the car. Instead of getting the ticket he wound up at Bronx central booking and spent the weeknd in jail

Oh My goodness.  How stupid was that.....LOLOL

Today when i had my car taken to the dealership to have the oil changed, some nice gentelman who worked there informed me that now, the law is that our license plate had to show ARIZONA on it or we will be caught by the police and fined $125.00.  I was so greatful to them, they changed the plate for me. Funny, it was like it took 3 of them to do that.  But we were talking and they were so nice.

I thought that was very kind.....i am scared of the police because i still think that i drive like a New York cab driver even though i never was one.
