Remember Brenda Starr with her mystery man Basil St. John, he needed a serum to keep him alive made of the black orchid....and Brenda's boss Hank O'Hair and Mr. Livright?  How about Dondi and his friends, Baldy, Webster and Eddy in the Explorers Club.  Winnie Winkle and her twins Billy and Wendy?  Sunday comics were the best.....especially when you could put Silly Putty on them and make copies........

Thanks for the memory.  I got some silly putty from the grandkids for my birthday.  Now I have a project for Sunday morning.  Haven't done that for lo these many years.

I was surprised a few years back when in Gasoline Alley they had Walt's wife Phyllis Blossom Wallet pass away.

Wasn't Brenda's boss Hank O'Hair (how can I put this?) a little masculine, now that one thinks about it?

Everybody dances around the issue!

"Brenda's managing editor was a fellow named Livewright and her closest friend on the paper was a somewhat masculine lady reporter named Hank O'Hair. "

Name a hit tune from the 1950s that included the words "hank of hair."  Name the artist too.

Honeycomb?  If I'm right, do I get a Bach CD as a prize?

"Honeycomb" it is.  But who was the artist?

As for the Bach CD, you can't fool me. . .Bach never made a CD.

think it was Jimmy something, maybe Rogers?  My bank offers Bach CD's.  They pay interest only after you've had your 20th kid.

Yep. . .it was Jimmy (Jimmie?) Rogers (Rodgers?)

A CD after 20 kids?  A reward for no early withdrawal???

I think Henry, Little Lulu, Louie and the Little King were all the same person.

I once saw a drawing of all the cartoon characters at a Christmas party.  Henry, Little Lulu, Louie  and the little King were singing (you guessed it!) "Silent Night".
