Did you have a lunch box when you were going to school? Who was on your lunch box (ie: Superman, The Green Lantern, etc...) ? What grade did you stop carrying a lunch box to school?

My son would go through 2 or 3 a school year for several years.  In recent years, he confessed to throwing them down the sewer becasue it was cool to brown-bag his lunch.  Now he's kicking himself as these lunch boxes would have brought him good money had he kept them and sold them as antiques.

To be honest, that is one of the reasons I asked this question. I have a friend who was cleaning out his parent's house, in Country Club, and came accross his older brother's Popeye lunch box. He was told that considerring the condition it is in, he could probably get upwards of $650.00 for it!!

I had a lunch box but I can't remember what was on it.  After that I brown bagged it for my entire grammar school career.  I hated it so much I did not bring lunch once as a high schooler; not once in four years, even if I had no money.

In grammar school I usually walked home for lunch, unless it was really bad weather out then I happily took my lunch in my Barbie lunch box........gave it up around 4th or 5th grade and brown bagged it after that.
