The holidays are coming once again. It's so hard to think of Thanksgiving since my brother killed himself almost 5 years ago that day. Today it's a struggle to raise his boys and find happiness. I thank God for having him in my life. I miss him so much and he left us with so much pain to deal with. His suicide note read "I am taking the cowards way out". If you only knew how true that would be. As a survivor, I struggle every single day with tears of remembrance and guilt to know that I wish you would have called me. We were all right here for him if he just reached out to us. Freddy, you are always in my heart and prayers Fernando Munoz May 21, 1963 - November 1998 Love your sister, Elena |

I AM ALSO A SURVIVOR OF A SUICIDE...THEY FEEL AS THOUGH THERE IS NO WAY OUT...THEY SEE ONLY BLACK...TRY TO UNDERSTAND THAT THEIR POOR SOULS ARE SOME WHERE ELSE...NOT WITH US FOR HELP OR LOVE...YOU MIGHT TRY TO SPEAK TO A SUICIDE SPECIALIST...GUILT DOES NO GOOD... |
