Morris Bloom passed away Saturday. January 8, 2005.
All the time Frank and I were growing up in apartment 2H at 2675 Creston Avenue. Morris and Sarah and Joel and Reva Bloom lived next door in apartment 2G. Morris played pinochle with my dad and other neighbors regularly. The Blooms were good neighbors and good friends.
When Morris's mother died, Frank and I brought him to our shul, Jacob H. Schiff Center, so that he could take part in the daily prayer services and recite the KADDISH (prayer for the dead) for his mother, as we were doing for our dad.
Morris and Sarah had been living in Yonkers. I don't know their ages, but both must have been in their 90s. Sarah is still living.
