Ethel E. Dillon "Tina" Thompson made her transition Friday, March 25, 2005.  Born in 1944 on a farm in Bogue Chitta, MS, she was a graduate of Jackson State University and taught for more that 30 years in the Chicago public school system.  She was an enduring adherent to excellence in instruction for teachers and would not countenance less than full effort by her students.  A divorcee, she retired in 2004 and leaves no issue.  After a brief illness, she succumbed to ovarian cancer.  Tina was a good friend and I will miss her.
