Bobby, are you talking about Jimmy Evers that always hung out at Alfies?  I hung around with him in Edgewater in the 70's probably from 71 till 74.  I lost track of him, but I could certainly ask around.

Evers passed away 15 years ago.  Hope this isn't the same Evers family your were looking for.
