Here in North East Pennsylvania, the snow is finally beginning to melt! I can actually see some of my yard! I went to the local Wal-Mart the other night and as I walked past the garden center, I got that whiff of spring! There was the smell of the plants, the soil. The snow blowers have been replaced with lawn mowers and weed whackers. Winter gloves have been replaced with gardening gloves! I can't wait for all of the snow to be gone. One of my favorite pass times, besides the computer, of course, is my gardens. With out sounding corny, it's a nice feeling to see the gardens that you take care of come back to life every year.

Out on my property, we have a few apple trees. It seems like just over night it began to bloom. As well, the cherry trees came to life overnight! Between the white flowers from the apple trees and the hot pink of the cherry trees, the driveway looks awash in color!......Now, if it ever stops raining long enough for the grass to dry up a bit, I can give my lawn a full cut! It's been raining on and off here for the last 2 1/2 weeks. I've got sections of the yard cut, but not all of it yet. It didn't rain yesterday, and if it can stay dry today, I will start mowing this afternoon.
One thing I have plenty of, on the property, is a variety pine trees. Every year, new ones begin to grow! I have some that are between 30 and 50 ft tall and others that are less than 10 inches. The pines are great to have in the winter, as that they make a good block for the winds, and during the summer they are great for privacy.....it's just too green! LOL.................

I was sitting on my porch today and looked up and saw that the mourning doves that nest every year on the top of one of the pillars had babies.

So far, it has been Saturday followed by Sunday, which is expected to be followed by Monday.

I had to work Saturday---inventory at the store---a 12-plus hour day. Just sorta hangin' out the rest of the weekend.

OK, I'm a flower and gardening nut.  Just have to show off my cactus that flowered today.

Fred, really enjoyed the squirrel picture, sorry it took me so long to say so.  Here is one of my cats, his name is Mozart, relaxing on a sunny, summer afternoon.

Whassup with all these old threads being dredged up with a 9/17 reply that was "deleted due to termination of membership?"
