There was another guy- he had a short, mediocre playing career but became much better known as a clown-like entertainer. I can't think of his name.

Yeah I remember him also. He had a huge nose, wore a uniform with a think 1/2 on his back and clowned around on the field before some Yankee games.

The guy with the 1/2 and the big nose was Max Patkin.

The Clown Prince of Baseball was Al Schacht.

The Clown Princes of Baseball were the 1962 New York Mets.

I believe that the clown prince was Al Schacht. He was a not very great basball player who dressed as a baseball clown. I think that he performed at ballgames during the 1940s and 1950s.
