Should be be banned? Should his records count?. Want should the baseball commissioner do on the day that he passes the Babe? and then Hammerin' Hank?

He should not be banned.  Many of the star atheletes have taken enhancement drugs.  Do you ythink Mark McGuire would have hit all those home runs with his former body or Sammu Sosa or many others. Even people who do not take steroids do something to make them stronger---performance drugs, weght lifting, and a whole host of stuff , some of which are illegal and some which are legal

If it were up to me. they can take what they want to make them feel stronger.

Bond has passed all of his drug tests, so as far as I am concerned he has not violated anything.

You really can't compare todays feats with those of yesteryear.  There are more and better athltes today; they play a longer season, travel in style rather than in busses or trains; pitchers hardly ever toss a whole game; hitters today formadable pitchers; they bat with a glove rather than bare hands.  There just are too many differences to make a comparison between now and years ago.

Agree that he has never been officially caught failing a drug test, so any action by the league is premature.
It will be very interesting to see what happens when he hits #714, since I can't believe the baseball commissioner will have bands playing, and a huge celebration for him at home plate.
Don't agree that the players should be allowed to take anything they want to make them stronger. Need to have rules on illegal substances because 1) they are illegal, and 2) they are competing against other athletes playing by the rules.

Ol' Bud Selig is looking at the situation right now.  I don't think Barry's records should count.  Other than that, you can't take away from him anything he did.  He deserves to be in the Hall.  Baseball players have been taking stimulants for more than 30 years, to my memory.

Nothing should happen to Bonds or his records. He hasn't been caught breaking any rules. Major league baseball is just going to have to accept the fact that some of these stats were obtained due to steroids. There are now rules in place to deal with this issue..move on from here.

True, he hasn't been caught breaking any rules. . .at least not yet.

Whether or not he will remains to be seen.

For now, he's innocent until proven guilty.

even if he is caught going forward, his records will stand. Many major leaguers have used steriods in the past decade. The stats will stand.
