Is anyone watching any of the games?  The cup at least taught me to figure out how Spain feels in the Smmmer Olympics.  US doesn't have much of a chance.

Much more action in hockey Frank. And yes I have been following and rooting for the Hurricanes, after all they are from my adopted state. Soon to be my home state.

I think you would fit in with certain sectors of North Carolina, Bobby.  After all, they gave the senate Jesse Helms.  I'm pretty familiar with the state and I used to own property on the beach in the Outer Banks.  Watch out for Durham and Chapel Hill, though.  They say those are dens of liberalism.

I think you would fit in with certain sectors in Harlem... I own a couple of Brownstones there so I know..be careful though,...there are some areas there that ain't what they used to be.

Yeah Jake, Durham is still a section of North Carolina run by liberal Democrats and it seems they haven't changed their ways in 50 years.  They still believe they can use their power to abuse the rights of their citizens, make trumped up charges to ruin the lives of innocent people, use divisive racial issues to further their political goals, and lynch 3 innocent young men. Just like old times. Yes this DA Nifong is in the best tradition of the old Democrtic south.

Joe, because of the historical precedents and the recent treatment of the youths on the Duke lacrosse team, your use of the word "lynch" is particularly inappropriate.  Were extra-legal means used to thrwart the legal process, eliminating due process and replacing it with summary punishment, giving no thought to the question of if they were innocent or not?  If that did not happen don't call it a lynching.  Those youths are surely having their day in court.

Jake it does appear that extra-legal means were used to thwart the process by this DA.  And the people who should have their day in court are the accuser and this DA, not these 3 students

Just for the record..what the DA is doing to the Duke boys is a lynching. And for the record, the Carolina Hurricanes won the Stanley cup.

I can't believe that people are actually calling them Red Necks...ha ha ha ha...probably liberal scum making those statements..you see..liberal Nazis say whatever it is that comes to mind.  But that's ok..free speech only pertains to the pseudo elite class.

Anyway..I was quite happy to see the team from North Carolina win it all...hockey is my favorite sport for a number of reasons.

And now I see that the University of North Carolina may be on the verge of winning the College World Series. Will baseball and hockey begin to rival NASCAR in the hearts of the citizenry?
