The Yankees and the Mets have clinched first place in their respective divisions. . .the first time that has ever happened in the same season!
Now all New York eyes are looking ahead to another subway series. . .
Considering that possibility, I have once again been inspired to explore the lists of people who have played for, managed or otherwise been associad with both teams. My top-of-head list follows. Please add any that I didn't think of:

Uhh uhh, Jake. Casey Stengel never played for the Yankees.
He played for the Giants and maybe for the Dodgers. He managed the Dodgers, the Boston Braves, the Yankees and the Mets.
He is the only man to have appeared in the uniforms of the New York Giants, the Brooklyn Dodgers, the New York Yankees and the New York Mets as either a player or a manager. |
