1 POUND BAG PINTO BEANS
1 LARGE HAM BONE..can get one from your local super market
Soak the pintos in the ref. in a pan of water over night.
In the morning drain water off of beans and place beans and ham bone in a large sauce pan fill with water, about 3 inches from top. Cook on low heat all day. stirring occasionally, 1 hour before dinner turn beans off and let set about 45 minutes, then heat on low again for the other 15 minutes. (this makes the soup thicker)
