2 cups sugar 2 cups cold water 2 cups fresh lemon juice (from about 10 medium lemons) Ice cubes 1. Prepare sugar syrup: In 2-quart saucepan, heat sugar and water to boiling over high heat, stirring occasionally. Cover saucepan and boil 3 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat.
2. Stir lemon juice into sugar syrup. Pour mixture into pitcher or glass measuring cup; cover and refrigerate until cold, about 3 hours. Serve over ice, stirring in additional water if you like.
