Before begining - the locations - you might want to do a diagram for yourself, or you may prefer to stay with the noted version. And if the versions you are used to are different - why not adapt both until you are happy with them!
Divine Centre - a couple of inches above your head - traditionally the peak of your aura, the "godhead" of the trinity, a source of white healing light. Something "higher and better" than the physical being. Element - AIR.
Third Eye Centre - just above and between our physical eyes. The centre for psychic vision, intition, thought about faith, how we perceive our gods. Often associated with purple as the colour of the divine.
Throat Centre - around about the adams apple region. Sometimes considered Lavender in colour. Critical importance is communication and speech. If this is tense, consider for exemple if you have fear of communicating, or a recent communication has hurt you. In easing this centre and opening it up, you place your faith in honesty and your gods.
Heart Centre - where the name suggests. When considering this centre, consider life force and rythm, and the blood flowing through your body nurishing you. If there is a block here it may mean that you are working against yourself, fighting yourself, not letting yourself succeed. Element - METAL (iron in blood)
Solar Plexus Centre - Centre of fire and breath! Breathe fire and energy, courage, determination and outgoing power. The courage to make your plans work and happen. Divine inspiration and driving force. The power of the divine / Holy Spirit / Dragons Breath / Will of the Goddess / other faith equivilent. Usually read in colour. Element - FIRE
Ki centre - just below your belly button. The centre of life energy called Ki or Chi. This is the other way in which power and energy flows around the body (blood being the first). It energising and powers the centres, it is the work-house, battery / power plant for the internal energy. (the other source being external). Feel the energy running through the body in waves from this point, with each breath. Use the external force to "power up" / revitalise this centre. Element - WIND (inner wind - not the painful kind - the divine kind)
Water Centre - The bladder / Genital area. Source of water calmness and libido power! The power and drive of fantasy and sex, balanced with the calm and tranquility of water. "Blocks" may be symptoms of sexual identity, tension and urgent bladder, fear, nervousness, relationship difficulties. Breathe confidence and belief in your own identity. Element - WATER
Base Centre - between your feet. Your earthing point - where you connect with mother nature and the centreing of the Earth. Reminds you you are part of Gods creation. Part of a greater whole. It also acts as a point though which you can harness energy and life through the earth. Be aware of whether you are blocking this point. Doing so may reveal self-destructive tendancies. Allow yourself to connect, be connected, be part of the greater whole. Element - EARTH
Chakra Mediatation
Before starting you may wish to pray / cast a circle / salute the four directions / elements.
Begin by sitting / cross legged position in a suitable place. Be aware of your physical body, here now. Feel it in connection with the surface beneath it. Be real, be here, be now.
Now allow your mind to tavel up to the point above your head, the Divine Centre, Feel a light building there, breathe deeply and with each breathe let the light and power build. There is no effort, --- this power is external, it is always there. All you have to do is let it build. Give yourself permission to receive it.
Imagine a fine thread connecting the Divine Centre, and the Third Eye, Imagine the power travelling down to the Third Eye, when it reaches the Third Eye, feel it open, feel your spiritual centre awaken! Feel it energising. As the two centres link, feel the thread becoming stronger, more substantial, empowered. Any weak links become strong, any block dissolve.
Again feel the thread connecting down to the next point, the Throat Centre. Be confident and resolute with this one. It will link, and as it does, feel any tension around your throat starting to give up and dissolve. As the link occurs, feel your communications centre energise, feel confidence build, fear fade. Let your god(s) take your fear, place fear in their infinate care. Feel the power build and build, the thread becomes strong.
Next the thread connects down to the Heart Chakra, feel a pulse travel down to the Heart Centre and connect, feel power burst in rythmical waves through your body as goodness and life is channelled thoruhout your body. Divine energy and blood combine to pass any obstacle, as barriers of tension are dissolved. Feel the thread strenghten.
Now a short thread to the Solar Plexus Centre, feel it open like a flower of flame, bursting flame outwards, over your body and beyond. Making your presence know around you, YOUR presence and the presnece of your faith. You have a perfect right to be who you are, when you are, where you are, and this affirms it. BE here and feel the thread strong and powerful.
Now down to the Ki centre. Feel it energise and begin to "power up" imagine it taking on power like a battery charging, meanwhile sending waves of energy around your body, like the blood, only with a "higher" and different nature. Feel your body basking internally with your energy. Be empowered.
Now down to the water centre. Feel the power gently here, a calm and relaxing sense of quiet power. Deep power like the power of the ocean, still there even on a calm day. Washes away any barrier, any tension as waves nove the sand. Feel a gentle, beuatiful calm power here.
Down to the Base Chakra, the thread joining it to the rest, and a burst of power, like your body earthing itself as you become one with the universe, all of God(s) creation. Feel any residual fear or tension, self-hate or doubt flow ayay into the earth below as you realise you are part of a greater creation. Feel the acceptance of the universe, of which you are just a part. Just as a tree can not hate it self, right now, neither can you.
Feel the Base Chakra linking down into the ground, feel that thread travell down, down, down until it reaches the very centre of the Earth, the Power Centre of the Planet.
Feel power in the Earth, you could never experience ALL the power there, but your thread can allow you a safe proportion. Feel it build, and build and build.....
Let that power now pulse up each Centre in turn, one by one, feel exultation and power from the earth, feel, believe!
Allow each Centre to be linked - to the top of your head.
Now Continue to allow the power to pulse upwards throughout your body. Become aware of a change above you, the Divine Centre now allows healing light to cascade over you, over the outside of your body.
Earth power pulses up from within. Divine Power cascades down over your outer body. You are cascading in Love and Power. Imagine yourself for an instant becoming a creature of pure power, part of the Universe on its most basic level, power.....
Enjoy this state as long as you wish.
When you are ready, allow the power to subside, gentle allow your inner eye to close, thank your God(s) and return to activity slowly.
